Frequently asked questions

How do I convert ChatGPT or Claude output to a Word document?

Copy the answer from ChatGPT or Claude, paste it into the box above, and click "Download .docx". Headings, bold text, lists, tables and code blocks are converted to native Word formatting. You can also click "Copy for Word / Google Docs" and paste directly into an open document.

Is my text uploaded to a server?

No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your text never leaves your device, which makes this tool safe for confidential notes, contracts and internal documents.

Why do # and ** symbols appear when I paste AI answers into Word?

AI assistants write in Markdown, a plain-text format where # marks a heading and **text** marks bold. Word does not interpret Markdown, so the symbols show up literally. This tool parses the Markdown and produces real Word formatting instead.

Are tables and code blocks supported?

Yes. Markdown tables become native Word tables with a bold header row, and fenced code blocks are rendered in a monospaced font with light shading. Nested bullet and numbered lists are supported up to three levels.

Is there a file size or usage limit?

No limits and no sign-up. Because everything runs locally in your browser, there is no server cost that would force a paywall.
